1. Our Commitment

Revealia was built on transparency. That same principle applies to your data. We do not sell your personal information. We do not show you ads. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We collect only what is necessary to make the app function.

2. Information We Collect

When you use Revealia we collect the following:

• Account information — your email address and name when you create an account.
• Scan data — products you scan, search for, and save within the app.
• Usage data — features you use, screens you visit, and how you interact with the app. This helps us improve the product.
• Device information — your operating system, device model, and app version for debugging and compatibility.
• Camera images — images captured during scanning are sent to our AI provider for instant analysis and are never stored on our servers, logged, or used for AI training.
• Payment status — we know whether you are a free or paid user. We never see your payment details. All payments are processed securely by Apple or Google.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Provide ingredient analysis and health scores for products you scan.
• Improve the accuracy and coverage of our AI scanner.
• Send you important updates about the app such as new features or policy changes.
• Maintain your saved products and scan history.
• Process and validate your subscription status.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles for sale. We do not share your scan history with food companies or brands.

4. AI Processing and Third Parties

Revealia uses OpenAI GPT-4o to analyze product ingredients and generate health scores. When you scan a product, ingredient data and images are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We have configured our integration to minimize data retention.

We use Supabase for database storage. We use RevenueCat for subscription management. We use Apple and Google for payment processing. Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and applicable data protection regulations.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We use industry standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We do not store camera images beyond the instant required for analysis. We retain your account and scan data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

6. Your Rights

• You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data.
• You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data.
• You have the right to export your scan history.

7. Children's Privacy

Revealia is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Revealia after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
